The move to ISO 9001:2015 Certification

Koro Industries is preparing for its ISO 9001:2015 certification audit. At the present time, we are certified to ISO 9001:2008. Our next surveillance audit will occur in the early fall. A gap analysis will be conducted around that time in preparation for the move to ISO 9001:2015 certification. Some of the benefits of the new standard include audits with a more organic flow. The new standard encourages use of the process approach to auditing which will follow the natural order of the production process. Audits will also focus on the interconnections between processes and institutional knowledge of process interactions.  In addition, there will be a greater emphasis placed on risk analysis. The plan is to complete the move to ISO 9001:2015 in the fall of 2017.
